• Find out if you are registered to vote by entering your information into the Voter Search.
• Last Day to Register to Vote on Election Day: Friday October 10, 2025 by 5:00 p.m.

Voting Options and Key Dates

Absentee / mail-in ballots  

• Ballots will be mailed out starting: Friday, October 3, 2025.
• Last day to request a ballot: Tuesday, October 21, 2025 by 5:00 p.m.
• Instructions on completing an absentee ballot
• Absentee Ballot Return Deadline: Tuesday, November 4, 2025 ( 7:30 p.m.)

Early voting

• First Day of Early Voting: Thursday, October 16, 2025.
• Last Day of Early Voting: Saturday, November 1, 2025.
• Where and when to vote early

Election Day voting

• Tuesday, November 4, 2025 – Polling places will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

• North Carolina voters will be asked to show photo ID when they check in to vote.
• Certification of General: Tuesday, November 14, 2025.
