Backpacks & Basics brings more than 750 volunteers, 36 sponsors and community partners together to ensure 59,026 students begin the school year with the supplies they need to feel prepared, confident and ready to learn.

Every backpack will be placed in the hands of a student at one of the schools shown on this map. Click a backpack marker to see the name of the school—and picture one of the students who will walk through its doors ready for the first day.

Across eight school districts in North and South Carolina, each backpack is a reminder that a strong start begins with having the right tools from day one.

Together, this community is turning thousands of backpacks into thousands of possibilities for local students.
