On Teacher Appreciation Day, more than 400 business and community leaders came together at Color a Brighter Future to support teachers and students across our region.

As 18-year veteran teacher Heather Brown shared:

“It takes a community willing to invest, advocate, and stand steady so every child has the chance to make it all the way across those monkey bars.”

Powerful stories from local educators, reminded everyone of the impact teachers have every day and the importance of ensuring they have the support and resources they need to thrive.

And then the room rose to its feet – a powerful reminder of what it looks and feels like when a community comes together for public education.
